Save Mt.Diablo

I made very minimal edits to these photos to fit the requirements for the contest. Just played with the blacks, fill light, and recovery mostly.

HDR

I added a black vignette to the picture and used a preset for the edits.

City Life

For this photo, I played with the fill light and black tool. I also added a cyanotype filter to give the photo an old/ cold tone to go with the antiquity of the theatre.
I cropped this picture slightly and changed the whole picture to be black and white. I enhanced the darks and blacks just a little to capture the bubble more clearly.

Didn't crop this picture at all and actually played with the colors a little. I enhanced the yellow slightly to make some of the posters pop off of their blue background. I felt like this was one of my stronger photo's because it captures the student life on telegraph.

I used a sepia filter on this picture to enhance the emotions that I thought the man seemed to be displaying. Cropped the image slightly and enhanced the darks just a little bit.

For this photo, I changed the image to black and white and wanted to focus on just the little girl, so I cropped the image. I wanted to keep the softness of the photo, so I didnt want to hurt that by enhancing the darks.

I enhanced the blacks/ darks and also cropped the image. I thought this photo best displayed the chill/ nomadic vibe that Berkley can give.

I used the cyanotype filter again on this photo, but enhanced the lights in it instead of darkening it like the first image. This photo is my strongest one because it captures the young life and relaxed motion of Telegraph.

I cropped and played with the color tools in this photo. I increased the blacks and darks in the picture to clearly display the lettering on the sign.

I edited this image very minimally and only boosted a few of the colors because the image is already so busy as it is. I wanted to use it though because I thought it captured the hippie scene Berkley is known for just perfectly.
